Weekend Update

things that made the weekend great

• Mexican dinner Friday night
• having a giant margarita with dinner on Friday
• having my first run/walk since having Layla
• shopping with my girls Saturday
• finding some new tennis shoes for Madison and myself
• super lazy day on Sunday

things that made the weekend not so great

•  Casey leaving Sunday morning for a sales convention

6 weeks

6 weeks and growing!  We had our month check up at the doctor earlier this week and we are now measuring 21 inches long and we are weighing 11 lbs and 7 oz.  Layla is starting to realize that she has a voice and has started cooing and blabbering a little.  She is also recognizing our faces and she will smile at us.  Her personality is starting to show!

Weekend Update

 

things that made the weekend great

• having a date night with the hubby and Layla
• discovering a delicious new restaurant, the Grey Goose
• finally making it to the Farmer's Market on Saturday
• getting some much needed house work done
• taking Layla to church for the first time....she was perfect
• catching up on some movies that we've been wanting to rent

things that made the weekend not so great

•  Madison not being there (she was visiting with Mimi and Papaw)

5 wks

At 4 weeks (forgot the photo), Layla has already learned how to roll over!  I know, it's hard to believe....but I'll post the evidence soon.

At 5 weeks, we slept for the first time, 7 hours straight!  Oh....mommy was sooo happy the next day.  We have also made the transition to her nursery and she's doing very well.  She's also went through an obvious growth spurt!  :)

• our friends, Ben and Kristen getting to meet Layla for the first time
• grilling out Saturday night with the Fuhs' and McDaniel's
• playing a fun game of poker Saturday night with our friends
• a nice visit with the in-laws on Sunday (they just can't stay away from Layla)  :)
• Casey finally adding Words with Friends to his phone

things that made the weekend not so great

•  finding out our plumbing won't be fixed until Monday and that our driveway has to be dug up
• Layla not sleeping too well Saturday night
