Weekend Update

• our friends, Ben and Kristen getting to meet Layla for the first time
• grilling out Saturday night with the Fuhs' and McDaniel's
• playing a fun game of poker Saturday night with our friends
• a nice visit with the in-laws on Sunday (they just can't stay away from Layla)  :)
• Casey finally adding Words with Friends to his phone

things that made the weekend not so great

•  finding out our plumbing won't be fixed until Monday and that our driveway has to be dug up
• Layla not sleeping too well Saturday night

• the arrival of Bryson Warthan; congrats Troy and Katie
• having a victory over the nursery light fixture
• figuring out where I want to hang some artwork in the nursery
• super yummy dinner (date night) with the hubby
• beating the hubby at Scrabble Sunday night; he's such a sore loser  ;)

things that made the weekend not so great

•  Madison gone for the weekend
• driving to drop her off and the other party being 45 minutes late
• running into a wreck on the way home...stand still traffic....yuck!
• having a fight with the nursery light fixture (a 2 hour process)
• my feet and hand swelling up Sunday night....VERY scary

Weekend Update

• spending time with the Seattle kin
• celebrating Hilary and John's wedding; congrats guys
• having some amazing weather this weekend
• having a slumber party at a B&B Friday night
• having yummy Mexican for lunch on Sunday with my daddy
• getting to see Madison after a week at church camp
• celebrating father's day with an awesome daddy; Casey

•  being slightly embarrassed by Casey's actions Friday night, even though part of the time he was being pretty hilarious
• having my ankles swell up 3X their normal size Saturday night
• being incredibly sore after the wedding
• sleeping horribly Saturday night because my pelvic bone

What. A. Weekend.

• date night with the hubby
• purchasing the light fixture for the nursery
• lots of cleaning going on in the household
• playing some silly racing game as a family (Madison's treat for her report card)
• a major grocery shopping trip completed
• signing Madison up for Volleyball this summer

things that made the weekend not so great

•  not getting to go the the restaurant I wanted for our date night
• the trip to Ikea taking 3 hours (normally an hour and half....I think I cursed every construction worker I passed)
• Casey's Honey-Do list not even close to being completed
• having some issues with the nursery light fixture
• my feet and ankles got so swollen Sunday night 
• feeling like a giant whale all the time now

Memorial Day Weekend Wrap Up

• having a long weekend
• lazy Saturday morning
• going to a wedding Saturday evening; congrats Jarrod and Althea
• Madison dancing the night away at the wedding
• baby shower #2 on Sunday
• finally getting a new grill on Monday
• testing the grill out Monday night with some steaks

things that made the weekend not so great

•  seeing where the tornado hit in Indiana  (it was a little scary)
• my ankles swelling up for the first time at the wedding
• the weather being a little too hot for me
• not being at the Indy 500 this year

• picking up lots of necessities for Layla (I was starting to get panicky)
• putting the glidder rocker together and enjoying it's comfort
• date night with the hubster
• getting one good night's sleep
• church Sunday morning (with all the running around I haven't been in awhile)
• planning out this week's meals and having everything I need to make them (we have lots going on this week, so this makes me feel better)
• finally breaking down and purchasing an ice cream attachment for my KitchanAid mixer

•  dealing with Casey's uber grouchy mood Saturday morning (can we say nicotine/caffeine freak out?)
• the hotter-than-expected weather on Saturday (I did not dress accordingly)
• having acid reflux ALL day on Sunday

A weekend at home

• getting a phone call saying that my glidder for the nursery is in (6 weeks early...still need to get it though)
• going to the most beautiful, over-the-top wedding on Saturday; Congrats to Ryan and Leea
• seeing some friends who we have neglected for far too long
• being at home
• going to Madison's softball game (always enjoy those)
• having a completely lazy day on Sunday

•  staying out a little later than anticipated on Saturday = a super tired Sunday
• having to drive to the middle of nowhere for Madison's game
• running late for the wedding and missing the actual wedding; but made it to the reception

Mother's Day Weekend

things that made the weekend great

• waking up to breakfast in bed for Mother's day
• receiving a dutch oven and a Pandora bead for Mother's day
• reading the card that Madison got me and it made me tear up
• going to Hillary's bridal shower
• playing a quick game of Scattergories
• watching the Derby on tv

things that made the weekend not so great

•  more driving
• wishing I was at the Derby instead of watching it on tv

• Baby shower for my dear friend Katie (we're three weeks apart)
• having a cook out with some great friends
• Madison's softball team winning their first game (they're now 1-2)
• a beautiful day on Saturday (I have flip flop tan lines on my feet..hehehe)
• having some super delicious french toast Sunday morning made by Madison

•  rushing home Sunday morning to get to Madison's softball practice
• Madison's practice being canceled as soon as we got home
• realizing that I've gained a few lbs. after seeing photos (sad face)

(On a side note, I know I've been HORRIBLE about posting....I'm going to try really hard to get back into it!)

Easter Weekend

• Easter weekend, of course!
• poker night & splitting the pot with Isaac
• going out to eat with the in-laws
• the adult Easter egg hunt with cash and lottery tickets
• the hubby driving all the way home while I slept

•  the rain
• allergies
• having to drive Madison all over God's green earth
• only finding candy in the Easter egg hunt
• Peyton rolling in multiple fresh cow patties...grrrrr
• forgetting to take any pictures

• Madison receiving her very first gun and her being excited to learn about it

• showing Madison where my grandma grew up
• getting to see my hubby after a very long 9 days
• ordering my glider rocker for the nursery
• seeing that the hubster put the baby's crib together all by himself

• purchasing some spectacular bread from Rene's Bakery (that I can't stay out of)
• eating the most amazing mozzarella cheese from TradersPoint Creamery... de-lish!
• Butler winning their game again VCU
• antique shopping with my mother-in-law
• a super quiet Sunday morning ALL to myself - no husband, no dog, no child
• the gorgeous weather we had on Sunday 
• getting to eat my two favorite things I can only get in Indiana; Bobe's Pizza and Rice's award winning chilli cheese hotdogs

•  missing my husband already
• charlie horses
• the realization that I will have a full week without my nightly back rubs from my hubby

• a last minute meet up for Sunday lunch with the in-laws

• getting to sleep the whole way home
